Laser skin resurfacing works by applying light energy to the surface and deeper skin layers to create micro-wounds. These micro-wounds cause inflammation and initiate a healing response that leads to increased blood flow and to the creation of new tissue and collagen. Different lasers work on different skin layers and can even address color problems like sun spots, superficial blood vessels, and scar tissue. Laser resurfacing can be done for the full face, neck, chest and hands. Laser resurfacing can also be performed to improve acne scarring or surgical scars on the face.
What is it used for?
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Skin tightening on the face and neck
- Sun spots and uneven skin complexion- face, neck, hands, décolletage
- Acne scars
- Surgical or Traumatic Scars
At CHG, our Aesthetic Care Plans combine Laser Skin Resurfacing with PRP (platelet rich plasma treatments) and skin care. The growth factors in the PRP further enhance the healing response from the laser skin resurfacing, leading to a quicker recovery and improved skin rejuvenation effects while a dedicated skin care regimen helps to maintain the results longterm.
