CHG is proud to provide Ultherapy as an option for noninvasive neck and face tightening. Ultherapy is the only FDA cleared device on the market for this purpose. It uses microfocused ultrasound energy to heat soft tissue at different levels under the skin which stimulates collagen production and tightens connective tissue deeper than other noninvasive devices.

The procedure is performed using an ultrasound to first determine the patient’s anatomy. Once visualized on the screen, the energy is precisely delivered at two levels, to the deeper than more superficial layers. Ultherapy is used for lifting and tightening skin in the brow, around the eyes, jawline, neck, chest and around the mouth. Comfort and results are directly related to the providers performing the procedure. The ideal candidates are those with mild to moderate skin laxity, who do not want a surgical procedure, and for those that have already had a surgical procedure and are looking for a little extra lifting.

As you will continue to age, your skin will be tighter than it would have been if you had not had the procedure done. Some patients opt for extra treatments a year or two after the initial tightening. The benefit of having Ultherapy at CHG is that all treatments are directly supervised by Dr. Madnani, a Facial Plastic Surgeon, an expert in the surgical anatomy of the face and neck.

Treatments are expertly administered and patients are very comfortable as they are given relaxing and pain medication prior to the procedure.

Ultherapy is most commonly used for the lower face and neck area. It can also be used around the eyes and mouth to tighten and elevate loose skin and on the temples and brows to elevate the brow area. It has also been FDA cleared to tighten the loose skin over the d├ęcolletage area. Off label uses for Ultherapy vary to tighten skin on other parts of the body including arms, abdomen and thighs. Treatments take about 1-2 hours to perform.

At CHG, as part of our Aesthetic Care Plans, we commonly combine the use of Ultherapy with CO2 laser micro peels to for optimal rejuvenation results. The Ultherapy works wonders to tighten in the deeper layers of skin while the CO2 laser micro peel works on the superficial skin surface to improve the tone, texture and lines on the skin surface as well as brown spots from prolonged sun exposure. We suggest that the Ultherapy is performed first, then the CO2 laser micro peel is performed. There is no downtime associated with the Ultherapy, however, with the CO2 laser micro peel- expect a 48 hour downtime with some redness and swelling associated with the treatment. Additionally we combine Ultherapy after Sculpsure body contouring treatments to tone and tighten overlying skin on the treated areas.

Additional services that are complimentary to the Ultherapy are facial fillers and neuromodular agents; whether we use dermal fillers like Voluma, Radiesse, Juvederm or belotero or facial fat transfer. Its best to have the facial fillers after Ultherapy to maximally benefit from the volumizing after Ultherapy.
