What is Microneedling?

Microneedling (also known as collagen induction therapy) is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. Dr. Madnani uses Dermapen®- a fractional micro needling device with fine needles that creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin that create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin.

Results

Results include improved skin texture, firmness, and tone as well as a reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks. Microneedling may also be combined with a topical treatment, like PRP (platelet rich plasma) or another vitamin-rich serum.

What is a Vampire Facial?

This is a non surgical treatment using PRP where small amount of blood is drawn from you and placed in a sterile tube that is spun down in a centrifuge to separate the different components of the blood. Red and white blood cells are divided from the platelets and the plasma (the clear fluid). This plasma now contains a higher than normal number of platelets and is called platelet rich plasma, or PRP. The Plasma is placed topically on the skin, then we use a micro needling pen over your skin; the micro needles inside the pen cartridge gently penetrate the upper surface of your skin. As a result, small punctures are created on the skin surface. These “wounds” then trigger the brain to start the formation of collagen and elastin- the two major proteins that determine the health, smoothness and age of the skin.

Results

The PRP promotes your own collagen to grow, regenerates tissue and thus acts as to naturally smooth and tighten the skin. In this way, PRP softens wrinkles, reduces scarring, improves skin tone and texture, and softens fine lines and pores.
